Assessing the quality and credibility of a source is crucial to filtering out misinformation. Reliable sources are typically unbiased, based on recent findings, and cite credible references.

  2. Relevance:

    • Does the source directly address your research question?

  3. Authority:

    • Is the author an expert in the field? Is the journal well-regarded?

  4. Accuracy:

    • Is the content supported by evidence, with proper citations?

  5. Purpose:

    • Why was the information created? Is it to inform, persuade, or sell something?
